NEBULA treats cinema as dreams floating on the clouds — each film a fragment of dream core wrapped in soft mist, slowly dissolving, slowly revealed. We do not review films so much as we dream them, brushing aside the cloud to glimpse the core inside.
The Site
Our pages are organized as an open-air cinema on a cloud layer: the top holds six dream clouds displaying poster stills, the middle is a dream stream of soap-bubble reviews, feather features and dandelion seeds, the sidebar is a dreamcatcher with star-sand whispers, and the bottom is a soft pillow embroidered with classics.
Method
Each film is scored by a deterministic pseudo-metric (rating, lucidity, year of the dream). It is then sorted into one of four layers — Lucid, Reverie, Haze, Deep Sleep — by how recently it drifted in. The dreamcatcher on the sidebar ranks films by heat, where the most caught thread corresponds to the highest-rated entry.
